Archery Saturday 22nd March

Archery began on Saturday morning with 4 juniors arriving for AJAD's despite the Easter weekend break.
All four practiced for the first part of the session at different distances.
Brayden Johns tried a compound bow for the first time and was pleased with the results.
During the break all four boys received medals or trophies from the AJAD's results last year.
After the break shooting resumed, this time with scoring included.
Brayden announced to all that he needed to "find out the unique qualities of the bow" before he could be successful!
Needless to say on his last end he had done just that and scored 45 out of a possible 60 points, well done Brayden!

After lunch several juniors arrived to practice for the Junior Nationals to be held in Adelaide in April, but did not shoot a full round.
Only one round was shot for the day by Ken Hunt, Ric Petersen & Bev Grubel.
Much to Ken's disgust, he had arrived at archery without his equipment. Using some of the club equipment he still managed to shoot
a respectable round for a bare bow shooter.
Both Ric & Bev were having a very good day, with Ric who is a bare bow shooter coming in only 60 points behind Bev who is a compound
shooter.
Ric shot a 6 gold at 30 metres and was jumping for joy, while Bev shot 3 perfect 10's at 20 metres.
