On 20 October 2004, Strathalbyn Target Archers welcomed the Hon. Alexander Downer, Australian Foreign Minister and Member for Mayo to our clubgrounds. Mr Downer presented the club with a ride-on mower to help maintain the grounds.

Watched by Graham Kuchel, Marg Kuchel and John Clark, Mr Downer tries out the new mower named "Alex".

On the same day two members shot six-gold ends. Archer Wayne Hayter and arbalist (crossbowman) Bill Pennington shot all the arrows into the gold centre of their targets. Well done! Note that the crossbowmen shoot at smaller targets than the archers.
