GSA President Pat Coghlan in Porec Croatia

For the last two days Pat Coghlan, GSA Club President, has been representing Australia in the 2nd round of the Archery World Cup being held in Porec, Croatia.

The standard of competitors has been extremely high with Pat Coghlan comng eleventh out of seventy four in the qualifying round after shooting a score of 1400!  Only two Australians have ever shot 1400 in any tournament and internationally for 11 people to all shoot 1400 and over (up to 1411) is a world first  and a record which may stand the test of time.

Pat succeeded in the first two rounds of the sudden death Matchplay event but was knocked out in the third round by the 2008 two time world cup winner Italian Sergio Pagni who is now through to the Gold Medal final of the event.

Good Luck to the GSA Club President in Round 3 of the 2009 World Cup to be held in Antalya Turkey in June 2009.
